Friday Favorites

Favorite Internet Finds
My favorite part about Fridays….okay, let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.  ONE of my favorite things about Fridays is getting the chance to share some of my favorite internet finds with you guys from the last seven days!

// Yesterday was the second ever F-Word Link-Up hosted by Marielle and I, and I’m loving the amazing posts that have been linked up so far!  But if you haven’t had a chance yet, don’t think you have to wait until October to join in on the feminist fun! We’re taking links until Thursday of next week, so you’ve got plenty of time to link up your favorite feminist post from the archives, or something more recent!

If you want to learn more about the link-up, or just check out some of the amazing posts people have linked up, check out the post I wrote yesterday on why catcalling is not a compliment.

// Have you seen this Guide to Catcalling from Playboy yet? It’s a must read, and it’s made into a super simply infographic/flow-chart!

// As part of yesterday’s link-up, Lulu shared her favorite 11 feminist videos on Youtube.  I’d seen this one before, but I was so glad she shared it because it’s one of my absolute favorite spoken word pieces.

// I loved this post from Emily on making SEO simple enough to use with your blog.  She breaks it down so that it’s crazy simple, so that the really confusing topic of what Search Engine Optimization is and how to use it with your blog makes sense!

// TweetDeck!  Last night was my first experience with a Twitter Chat, and for the first 20 minutes before someone mentioned this amazing plug-in, I was totally lost trying to refresh the page often enough to keep up.

Mimi mentioned TweetDeck when the topic of scheduling social media came up, and while I’ll probably stick to Hootsuite for that, I love that TweetDeck lets me keep up with a bunch of different Twitter feeds all at once!

Love the catcalling flow chart! I wasn’t expecting the point to be made so succinctly.

I know! When i first saw it, I thought it was going to be the complete opposite of what it turned out to be.

I definitely have a soft spot for spoken word pieces, and that one is absolutely one of my favorites!
